1901 Echo Park

1901 Echo Park is nestled on a corner lot situated along a tree lined street within the hillside community of Echo Park. Designed as three distinct stepped masses, the building is linked by balconies and overhangs that follow the sloped topography. These smaller blocks rise out of the stepped landscaped to respond to the surrounding residential neighborhood. Textured plaster offsets the wood and metal detail work resembling modern row houses on a block. The roof garden peeks out from above the parapets offering a glimpse of the roof top amenities, while softening the upper edge of the building.
